yukhey I did expect much more sense from you?? Listen, I KNOW it’s a common enough trope, and quite established in manga/manhua but not everything is a racist scheme, is all I’m saying. The other reader based it as a glace, is that not willful ignorance? 😒😮💨

I will say it does seem to be aesthetic choice, since his beast nature/form seems entirely nonexistant and while the land seems quite sunny, it is not strictly desert (or even snow which could also serve for tanning), but that’s about all there is to the substance of why. Purely dark and light, juxtaposition of yin and yang to feel edgy or poetic visually. 🤷
