   Personally, as long as the male lead is handsome I don’t mind if he is white, black, tanned, yellow or blue (like in Avatar) and if the story is boring, I prefer to skip the read! I believe freedom is based on respect for other people’s opinions and choices and that doesn’t make them racists or idiots, it’s a choice, period. If someone doesn’t want to read a story because the male lead is tanned, good for them, the ones that want to read it because of it, we stay, that’s all!

   So this guy is the king of the beast men but he is not a bad king.
   He was quick to recognize her behavioral reactions to suspect she had been abused by King Feinz, the first king.
   Because of his kindness and decision to protect her, she decided to be a strong queen by his side.
   She eventually starts to manuevre certain situations, especially against the evil sister and brother duo. I feel he might fall for her eventually.
   It feels kind of boring to me.
   Maybe it’s me.
   In chap 15 she goes back to the first king’s country to attend some function with her new king.

   But yes, it has been a trend with dark skinned men.
   Always beastly, always demon breed, always barbaric. Always some dark nature.
   Hardly ever just a plain green forest, or a regular Duke of the North.

      Hasty much? It could just be tanning, if they’re beastmen of the wilds, yknow like no great sun coverage? Or natural coloring due to the beast type?? At least take a second before your leap to conclusion.

      yukhey I did expect much more sense from you?? Listen, I KNOW it’s a common enough trope, and quite established in manga/manhua but not everything is a racist scheme, is all I’m saying. The other reader based it as a glace, is that not willful ignorance? 😒😮‍💨

      I will say it does seem to be aesthetic choice, since his beast nature/form seems entirely nonexistant and while the land seems quite sunny, it is not strictly desert (or even snow which could also serve for tanning), but that’s about all there is to the substance of why. Purely dark and light, juxtaposition of yin and yang to feel edgy or poetic visually. 🤷

      IsekaiTillIDie I did not mean to disappoint you 😧 I was just point out what seems to be common in those kind of stories these days !!! I used to defend it too but sometimes a girl has to say what needs to be said 💔 and you can’t expect much from korean authors unfortunately 😬

      The more I read the more I must concede the initial reaction was valid, if still hasty for not giving the tiniest chance it might surprise us. ☹️ Sorry, I wanted to believe there mightbe some sort of reason…but is the climate all desert or hard ice? No. Is his beast form perhaps a black panther (or leaopard as was the case in that one about the rabbit girl)–what beast form? Seems they used that as a placeholder for the word “Barbarian” if anything! How frustrating!
