Based on the novel and the events as of now, this manhwa will not be a walk in the park. There is no one in the manhwa you can pity more than the FL. This manhwa has many many dark themes and it’s really really a heavy read. And I solely blame the parents for all her misfortunes, and also her brother for hurting her while secretly lusting after his stepmother. The FL will go through lots of hardships due to her step siblings and her mother’s schemes. And I must say eventhough Barkas was put through dealing with everything, iom he’s trash. Like I wouldnt even want a ml for this story. And by the end if this story the fl passes away, so this manhwa will be a tragedy. Also for people wanted to read the novel – it’s a trilogy.
Sweet-Chai
I’ve been following the novel as well, since the author is Kim Suji, who wrote Under the Oak Tree. I wouldn’t describe this as a happy story… very heavy angst and a lot of miscommunication, with little to no reprieve for the characters. Dark romance. Heavy themes. It’s very different from UTOT, but interesting to read about Maxi’s ancestors and the Roem Dynasty before its fall. This story is set when Maxi’s ancestors were still royalty.
Here for some drama
I’ve read the spoilers about it’s novel and all I can say is that this story is quite dark. The fl is very problematic and twisted(ofc bcus of her mother and the way she was treated) and she also suffers alot (I MEAN ALOT…)
