Summary
Read manga The Corrupted Paladin Is Obsessed With Me / 堕落した聖騎士に執着されています / 타락한 성기사가 내게 집착한다
“In this life, your curse will be my salvation.”
Katiana Luscino was a genius magical tool artisan who lost everything, falsely accused of a crime simply because she believed in love. But at the exact moment she met her death on the execution grounds, Katiana regresses to the past—back to where it all began.
Her goal in this life is singular: expose the true mastermind and sever the chain of tragedy once and for all. And above all, she must save Leon, who suffers from the “Curse of Lust” brought about by her own past ignorance.
……However, believing she could control his desires was her greatest miscalculation.
“I’m sure I warned you. I told you to run away from me.” “Leon……!” “That’s why this is half your fault.”
He spoke pleadingly, his breathing ragged.
“Don’t run away, Kasha. I don’t care if you hate me.”
The hand she had reached out to save him was, before she knew it, entangled in a maddening obsession.

The title suggests that this is a Japanese manga, but it looks and reads like a Chinese manhua – lots of overexaggerated emotional draaaama, very little brain and reason…
Even the beginning that’s telling us about the death (execution again like in 99% of all regression-plots * yawn * ) of the female lead is already super weird: exactly like @Silent reader said – how can she be such a “genius” if she hasn’t even realized that her lover was only using her and not really loving her too – why didn’t she suspect anything at all when he was urging her on to basically do crimes that would endanger her life if anyone else found out or snitched???
And as if any partner / accomplice of a “wicked woman” who has supposedly commited crimes bad enough to be executed wouldn’t even be doubted or even also interrogated brutally too… No matter who backs him up, royal or whoever (and why wouldn’t even those backers drop him too?)!
In my opinion the second life of the female lead is way too full of clichés and tropes to endure so far as well. She was as dumb as straw in the first timeline when it came to worldly matters, but now she’s able to see through her partner’s strategies in hindsight all of a sudden? And even though she was stuttering and bad with words before, she’s suddenly a sharp and clever talker?
Another weird thing is that she says that she was “saved” when she ran away with that evil scum of a partner in her first timeline, she’s not even suppressed by her family but is even getting help instead in the current timeline?
The female now not only starts to talk differently than she did in her first timeline, she also suddenly knows how to dress better than before – and immediately everybody praises her in their minds like “ooooh, she’s totally changed, she’s so beautiful now, yaddayadda” – all of this is very typical for manhuas actually. Even the male lead is drawn towards her for no logical reason, everything people do is based purely on guts and emotions.
I don’t like how the male lead is quickly sticking to the female lead, how she touches him seductively at the end of chapter 5 and how rudely the male lead replies to that – suddenly changing from being polite and gentlemanly to getting angry, grabbing her hand, causing her pain and shouting “spit it out” 🙁 And then he’s even choking her (!) on top of it all on a balcony next to a lively party (in chapter 6) threatening her to tell him what she knows about him…
Who said that THIS was a “kind male lead”???
I don’t think I can stand reading this any further from this point on, sorry…

This one is bad. The so call genius FL is still stupid in her 2nd life. No redemption, no revenge. Mostly talk talk talk with ML. I can see she got the will to change her future. But thats it. Will but no action

It’s Japanese but not overly dumb but filled with cliches….. a talented pushover FL & a nice ML…. types… FL’s fiance have cringe copy paste personality same goes for villainess.

This one is okay

The obsession with traumatized + abused + just wanted to be loved + betrayed + dumb + naive + strange + gullible is concerning….. manhwa land is filled with them…. I don’t know, but sometimes… it would be nice that FL, who was betrayed & other dramatic stuff, wake up for realz in the very same timeline & then take actions accordingly…. but obviously to make them act “normal” gotta hand over extra knowledge + experience.. they can’t get anything right without them…..

That‘ exactly the point that annoys me which is why I immediately quit when I see this trope.
