I don’t think Daisy is annoying, unlike us she doesn’t know the FL’s reality. If this were a real horror plot then Daisy would be only one escaping safely.
They cut out her “ventriloquist” act. In the novel, her “conversation” with Daisy was different. She didn’t want the knights to hear her so she tried to speak quietly like a “ventriloquist” without moving her lips which, to the knight, looked like Daisy was having a conversation onesidedly….Since he didn’t hear her words at all and only Daisy’s responses like she was talking to her with her mind.
