   I read reading the novel waaaay back and I had to drop it bc like another commenter said, it’s miscommunication city after the childhood arc. ML let’s all the knights misunderstand and gossip about her poorly without clearing anything up. FL’s sad and ready to pack up but he’s giving hot and cold. I was super pissed and dropped it

   Gonna let this one marinate more because currently it feels like every chapter will pmo and confirms that miscommunication is the most overused plot device and everything could be resolved if they all just talked- and they’re capable of doing so…they just…wont. So yeah, i do think its pretty good i just need to give it time, for my own sake.

   It’s very similar to other manhwas with this kind of story, at least up to chapter 22 by now. But the art of this one is so, so beautiful, I enjoy it so much!
   And actually I do like these stories of how a female lead changes her ill-fated relationship with her contract-marriage-partner starting as early as in childhood and changes her own “original” fate of becoming evil.
   Even though this definitely is a very common and somehow uneventful trope…
   But I also adore female leads like this one who develop their territory by working hard and caring for the people (plus unveiling and punishing baddies).
   Other than that, there’s also a magical beast mascot, which is a bit too cliché unfortunately, and a stupid war that hardens the male lead, turning him into a typical emotionless cold duke of the north character. Plus he already has short black hair, which is another boring trope…
   Well, at least we also get some sort of a love-story for side characters, which is cute.
   Cannot say how the story is going to progress now that the male lead has returned as a grown-up after he has already met his “original female lead” who is a beautiful princess… (and I really like that she’s not a b*tch 🙂 )

   i feel like the FL is more suited to be ML’s older sister tbh… not as a spouse… and with 6 years difference its kinda feel more like it..
   but if they are going to be lovers, well i’m not opposing that either

    sigh….. how many times this plot will be used…. and what sucks more usually FLs are dense as a rock…. oh mamamia why is he acting like that? why he ain’t falling for ogFL even though I didn’t follow my role as per ognovel even though I acted different even though I cared for him why he acting so kind toward me? why plot not moving like its supposed to TT_TT
