What a horrible male lead. He’s really thinking that ignoring his wife and basically locking her away in her room is CONSIDERATION???
Besides, his thoughts revolve even more around himself anyways, like “boohoohoo, she finds my presence bothersome” (yes of course, since you’ve only ever been acting like an a**hole towards the woman for two full years) …
The worst part is that we all know that the author tries to sell him to us readers as being pitiful – even though they show us now how he has dug his whole hole all by himself and has thrown himself into it while pitying himself.
And what about telling her out of the blue that she’s a nuisance, etc.? Does the author think we readers are going to forget about all of that after the male lead will graciously decide to finally show some basic manners?
(Which we know he will because stories like this one are always forcing the already married couples together again, even though it’s usually a losing deal for the female leads… We never learn what happens in later years when kids grow up and relationships cool down until they become daily routine…)
