   I’ll have to disagree with @LadyLombardy on this one, but only because I read the web novel first.
   The story is amazingly well crafted from start to finish. The foreshadowing is done not chapters ahead, but hundreds of chapters ahead. This series isn’t just another superhero story; it’s a masterclass of both its genre and of storytelling as a whole.
   That being said, some of the finer details of the web novel get lost in this version. It’s less finely tuned than the original. The slower, more reflective chapters end up summarized, and that’s where a good chunk of the depth and emotional intricacies were.
   The comic so far is a lot more light-hearted (ch 52), but the emotional roller coaster is coming. It will make you cry just as much as it makes you laugh.
   What’s neat about it is that the sad, the happy, and the bittersweet are sprinkled throughout. Western superhero media like “Spiderman”, “Batman” or “Invincible” typically get more bleak and depressing as it goes on, but this series manages to walk the fine line between light-hearted comedy and abject despair. The comedy is top notch, though the heavy use of word-play is often lost in translation.
   I consider it a must-read.

   it is fun in a way that it is overly simplistic (with no real depth or intricacies) and VERY single-minded (MC has only one objective and he’s all the time only pursuing that, despite the oppotunities to branch out to other more interesting paths), but the humor is actually funny and the general light-heartedness is enjoyable. in actuality this story only really works because despite MC being a die-hard fan of OGFL and a chick magnet, he’s actually very respectful, to the point it doesn’t even cross his mind to go over the line with any of them. in fact, I think it’s a pointed choice of the writer for him to be like that, despite it often being joked he’s “obsesed” or a “pervert” when he’s literally just purely trying to help these girls. it’s quite nice, after so much veiled misogyny around here, and even more, so much open misogyny involving misogynistic humor in other action/super-hero content. personally, I think being super-hero themed is a negative since media is still oversaturated with it, and has been for decades now, but at least it’s trying to be somewhat innovative about it by twisting some common tropes and using it in amusing ways. all in all not a must read, but if you’re bored and willing to give it a chance, I’d say to go ahead.
