This one looks a bit like a Chinese manhua, but the story isn’t all too typical (yet). However, it does overexaggerate here and there like many manhuas do and it generally emphazises emotion before reason – just look at the title that is actually trying to make us believe that this story is “epic” 😀
The first 5 chapters are about the innocent childhood of the female lead who has special powers and such knows that her father, the crown prince, is evil. But even warning her grandfather, the emperor, doesn’t help, because the emperor rather wants to trust his son a little longer who acts like a saint or something. So far, so believable.
BUT this evil father of the fl beats his wife; she even has bruises from this! And still her own maids actually admire that thug of a husband because he visits his wife often at night? How can the servants of a noblewoman have no idea at all that she has been beaten black and blue for quite a while, that she locks herself away and that she is visibly scared of her husband?
Why didn’t the victim tell the emperor or any judges of the abuse, since she has the bruises as a proof – she seemingly did not even tell any doctors, although she should have been in need of treatment? She is not just a poor woman of a commoner, she knows very well that this horribly cruel man is going to become the emperor of this country if she stays silent!
And why did this woman not even try to protect her small daughter by running away with her – like by travelling or staying in a country residence or whatever?
I also have no idea how this girl would with her ability to see evil in people is going to develop into a villainess… Probably all false rumors and slander again…
