@Chan khuman Why Tory died in the original timeline is still one of the biggest enigmas in this story. But, from what this chapter showed us, I feel like she might have died because she felt her duties have been fulfilled after Rupert finally became emperor and therefore had no reason to continue existing? But then that would dissonate with what Tory said about ensuring Rupert’s survival since if she’s dead, then how would she be able to protect Rupert? So, with that in mind, I feel that there’s a high possibility that Tory may have killed herself because she found that SHE was in the way of Rupert’s survival, similar to how she finds Lari to be a hindrance to Rupert. Though these are all speculations and there’s no reason to rule out the possibility that Rupert may have been the one end Tory himself. And, who knows, maybe that’s what he’ll do in the next chapter considering what Tory has just done to Lari.

To me, tori looks like a robot who was being programmed to do a certain mission and that mission is to make rupert to be an emperor. There’s no right or wrong in her mind. So she won’t hesitate to do something like poisoning someone even when that person is dear to her master
