Seems like some of y’all either not know or forgot how dangerous it is to have one possible legitimate heir present/available: at this point in the story, even if the “easiest” way would be to marry Rupert, Bellua and company could still find ways to skirt around and put her on the throne in the name of not wanting Rupert’s lineage on it.
As she said to Lemille, she doesn’t want the authority. Marrying Rupert or having her family go through with the coup could likely give her both. She’s pretty simple minded really: have Rupert be a wise/beloved emperor and her family safe. Knowing that her existing puts everything in jeopardy is taking a toll on her PLUS the past life trauma. She isn’t weak at all. She’s just doing what she thinks is best for everybody, even if it’s bad for her.
I don’t hate the fl not even a single bit. She was traumatised because of past and in this life she created a good surroundings and struggling to done everything to keep everyone safe and suddenly her world fall apart that her father and her brother was the reason she was getting killed and now they are doing the same. She is in position that she can’t even accept Rupert. I know the easiest way to go on ‘marry Rupert’ this route. But what can she do that she fallen to her lowest suddenly.
And now her brother, how can he say that he never behaved to her as brother and feelings her towards in romantic way. She is literally crying in pain.
I hate this trash brother, he was hurting her now the most, the Belua whom she most trusted. Atleast Rupert has valid reason to send all Belua to guillotine but her brother and his father obsessed with authority.
