The ML is not a dumb, insufferable, irredeemable character. Readers are just a bunch of kids with high expectations. It’s true that the story lacks world-building, and I’m not really attached to any character so far.

But readers are just biased. Let me simplify it: you’re a kid, and your father is a soldier who battles in wars. You expect him to know everything about you. Of course not. But that doesn’t mean he’s not checking on you; someone is probably reporting your development to him while he’s away.

Also, you keep blaming the ML. Do you realize why the child killed her mother? Here’s my theory: the child was brainwashed into thinking her mother was horrible or that her mother didn’t do anything while she was suffering (because she doesn’t know either).

By saying, “hey, the father is irredeemably dumb, and this story is trash,” you’re basically saying, “the mother is also irredeemably dumb, and you are dumb for reading the same niche story of reincarnation or time travel over and over.

Like he’s an emperor and has so many people he could order to at the very least check on his wife and child and yet he only notices and steps in once his wife changed? Meaning that if she hadn’t made him curious (like it the first life) he would have never known this shit was happening.
