I understand that she saved their lives and they care about her, but forcing her and hurting her family is f*cked up. They could have formed an alliance with Hyperion instead, and let her talk about it when she was ready. They majorly f*cked up and it’s sad.
Arcus could have been so good, they could have done this in many different ways… or I dunno let the Archmage herself deal with the situation with Arcus and her family, they were too hasty and are now the villains of the story
