In the real world, the writer nim is definitely someone that I don’t like to work with. I’m not sure if it’s just the way the writer wrote her character, but it felt like she told our mc about the rigging just to make herself look good in front of mc. Mc isn’t the only one who came from 4 star hotels and lower, after all. If she really felt bad about the rigging, she should have told the others who were eliminated as well because some of them probably got eliminated even with good skills because the others already knew the task content.
Also, her pd already told her not to tell mc because their show might suffer. She went against it without thinking about what would happen if their show really flop (imagine what would happen if news got out that a government funded show was being rigged). Her pd is already working to get things back on track. I would have sided with her if she told her pd outright that she will be telling mc the truth and not go behind his back or if she vehemently convinced the pd to tell at least our mc the truth. She can’t take responsibility for the show flunking, that’s the pd’s liability. And she made a promise that if mc wants to, they can pause the competition. She’s not the pd so she can’t make that call. I think she just thought that mc will not leave the show because he’s after the prize money and she can just make herself look good by telling this news.
Sorry if it looks like i’m hating her, but there’s just so many ways that her action could go wrong for other people who did nothing wrong. It was definitely the best action for the mc, though, but not for other people. 🙁 but then again, this is fiction.
Of course, the ones to blame are those who rigged the show in the first place.
