The problem with this kind of trope is that, it’s designed to make its FL look weak so the ML can save her. She’s just a pawn in someone else’s scheme or she’s too weak to even fight back for what she wants. Don’t expect too much from the FL, nor expect the ML to suddenly grow some brain cells to figure out what really happened or that he’s being unfair with her. They usually figure it our after FLs have consider leaving them but at the end, their love is more powerful and ended up fogiving them and staying by their side. If only the art wouldn’t be so good, I would’ve drop it already!
