From what I understand they were genetically engineered and created at the factory and then segregated based on how good their genetic makeup is(i guess the ‘privileged class’ from A zone dictates what each of the zones should do. She’s probably working for them as a hacker? Well they mentioned the best one in their zone that tried to hack the VR game and it was her. Or she’s into writing AI). And she’s dying cause the person who engineered her genes made a mistake that shortened her telomeres or something. Her real life feels like something straight out of Black Mirror and it’s relatively new for me.
