This story started off interesting with a strong female lead, but it has already deteriorated a lot by creating unrealistic overdramatic events that make the female lead into a weak victim and force her to depend on this useless male lead 🙁
in what way is he a complete idiot or useless? he’s extremely capable, very emotionally intelligent. he’s done well to protect her so far, this was an extreme case. its just weird how you see him. are you still mad about the 10 years thing? holding a grudge much?
to me she’s not suprised that the female lead is capable of it. shes impressed at how far shes come since then.

in no way did she come off weak to me either. bitch told royalty that she wasnt going to back down and neither was her husband TWICE. she gave her husband the information he needed to catch the maid and then trusted in him to fix things. she saved herself with his help.
