I’m about to rant about noble titles so just ignore this…..
Assuming that a woman can inherit a title in this setting. The fl can’t marry another head of a noble house. It would cause so many problems.
1. Combining two powerful families would be a threat to the royal family bc of the amount wealth and influence they could use to manipulate the Crown and other weaker nobles houses.
2. If fl had two children and each one inherited only one of the titles to separate the families and decrease their combined influence it would only cause problems later with their descendants having equal claim to both houses through parentage.
3. It would encourage the other noble families and the crown to manipulate them and control them by pitting them against each other, weakening both families. and eventually allowing them to be swallowed up by another family
