FINALLY YOUR BACK!! I missed the old gang smmmm 😭. Tbh Daniel was fairly obviously the ml from the get go, but they should’ve introduced him sooner so we did t get attached to everyone else… ITS NOT FAIR I LL BE ROOTING FOR YOU EUGENE TILL THE END!!!!
For readers, Daniel doesn’t really tick the male lead boxes, but I think why he is the male lead is because he wasn’t overly present in the original novel, he was a smoke and mirrors character that appeared just to cause one more problem for the protagonists and vanished, he didn’t have a big impact nor even connection to Lavrov or Ariel, which makes him a stranger to Licia, not a bias.
Yeah.. so far daniel has been sorta all over the place whilst bland.. I mean get that the male leads have their archetypes but just.. ehhh.. not really feeling like rooting for daniel to be endgame. Like I get that in the beginning, it was pretty clear he’ll likely be end game but just.. I feel more like rooting for eugene or cain tbh.. their bonds feel mote developed in a way. Sure litia used a og fl line on cain but he was also already falling for her. And as for eugene, she didn’t use any og lines and instead just respected his boundaries and feelings (tho still going crazy over his looks internally). It just feels rushed once herrace’s section came (like I mean, he literally even recalled memories we didn’t even see). Heck, when daniel’s section arrived, it was basically litia seeking him out everytime with him not questioning it. Like surely he’d have some questions or be wary of her since he’s the leader of a guild of assassins and his info guild leader buddy is treading into dangerous waters by falling for her.
ngl im just…. not into daniel? they spent so much time building up the romance with the other male leads and daniel just kinda showed up late and all he’s really done is stand by and look hot+mysterious and its just… ‘kay? im reading a romance cuz i wanna see the development of a genuine bond??? just slapping two people together isnt the same????? idk, there just seems to be something lacking with the development of daniels romance, especially when compared to the other ML’s :/
The others weren’t really serious ml, she said from the beginning on that she had no romantic feeling or so towards them and want to be friends. And the pointed out from the start that Daniel would be endgame??♀️
