    Its bcuz the children in the orphanage was treat normal , cuz they are trying to make look like a good orphanage for others see it , but lilian was not a orphan there , she was technically in the Custody of the baroness , so even if she was mistreated no one would care , cuz the baron and baroness was her foster-parents

    I feel like it wasn’t very clear, but I thought the other children at the orphanage were living well… they all seemed like they were playing around in the panel of them and Liliana was the only one who had to clean up after them and do maid work.

    I think the novel also overreacting about her tormenting….. Based on what the bitchy head maid said she always ignores. So I think the OG Anriche just basically ignores all of them and just care about her pride and money. But not to extend of tormenting. So that’s why…. Their relationship is awkward. And people always assume about her tormenting because of her villainess-y appearance and her pride way of talking
