Well, in games usually you also only fully unlock other functions after doing the early tutorial/ missions, to sort of force you to play a bit of the normal gameplay before exploring other side options. So if applying that logic to this place, the system was “forcing” her to 1st deal and take care of her 1st customer, and now that she completed it she can unlock other side functions unrelated to the “main gameplay”, like going home
