I think this is different from the novel, it was a while ago that I read it, but I think she full on snuck out? Like with the church as an under cover mage who kept her hood up the entire time.

It was quite a few chapters of narration and subterfuge that lead to a LOT of angst to get there, so I understand if they want to slim the story down and just get to the point.

Is this end of season 3 manhwa? If so, like amazing of the artist to really get a lot of the nuance and subtleties of the novel about Maxi and Riftan’s relationship.

This was a slow paced, less action packed of the novel. But I think we had to get through this season for the pay off later– like yeah, they both need to grow in diff ways. Like, they really got into the crumbling, problematic dynamics of their marriage and how slowly Maxi is feeling suffocated.

That said, oh man, I’m will wait and so look forward to Livadon and the war and the intro to new characters (hehe more specifically a certain priest!).

And hell yeah, THE rain scene. :O
