   Well, the longer the story goes, the unhappier it makes me – sure, at one point the female lead would have had to drop her disguise, but it happened a bit too fast for my taste and all in one go too…
   It’s also a given that the female lead wouldn’t just overcome her trauma from being stalked etc. easily, so when her stalker showed up and started to try to “win her back” (even though she has always refused to become more than friends with him), some drama was bound to happen. Maybe I was hoping for something more psychological here, but it’s mainly emotional pressure and intrigues, helplessness and useless drama…
   Next comes the old trope of female rivals that played a role in the male lead’s past who now show up and try to snatch him from the female lead, and things turned into a cheap soap opera.
   I was missing clever counterstrategies by our female lead, instead she mainly got lucky that the main rival girl just messed up by herself.
   And now the male lead’s rich family is acting up in the shape of an old grumpy patriarch who thinks no woman will ever be good enough for the heir to his oh-so-important family.
   I really dislike how our female lead basically grovels before this insufferably old man, and that she doesn’t find logical arguments to counter his unreasonable complaints and demands…
   While the female lead is depicted as being super competent at her job, she’s unfortunately also shown as someone who additionally fetches snacks for the business partners and serves them like a maid or something, even though she’s supposed to be a secretary. I really hoped she’d gain some more self-confidence by overcoming her trials, but we’re nearly at chapter 50 and she’s still so meek and subservient that it’s painful to watch 🙁

   If you don’t like what I say, don’t read it.
   Don’t come at me in full Angry Bird mode, flapping and screaming for no reason. And don’t tell me to shut up like you own this damned comment section. I’ll write what I want, negative or not. There is no rule book here. Don’t act all haughty, telling me a thing or two. Don’t act all entitled as if you have a say in what I do.
   It’s not my job to cater to your feelings. We all have different opinions and perspectives.
   So, for once, act sane and mind your own business.

   I like it so far. Unfortunately it’s a modern-world-manhwa, which means really boring background, buildings, furniture and stuff. Also it’s a love story between a male dark-haired rather unsocial boss and his female subordinate, which is way too typical and also a bit annoying.
   On the other hand, the love story is sweet – even though the female lead makes herself look unattractive (I wouldn’t call her “ugly” though) for good reasons, the male lead still falls in love with her quickly without knowing that she can also look cute (like barbie-doll-like).
   The “uglification” is moderate – just some glasses, false frackles and moles, baggy clothes and a wig. As a typical trick that’s used in comics, her eyes also look differently too, which is not even explained at all. The wig might seem weird, but as a person with long hair myself I do understand that the female lead doesn’t want to cut her hair just to make herself look not-so-attractive during her working hours.
   Maybe I like stories like this one so much because I can identify myself with women who try to make themselves look more unattractive after being harrassed or worse… I did so myself – and it really works! I even knew a girl who was molested when still a child and then deliberately over-ate until she had created sort of a shell for herself made out of fat for protection – so to speak…

      I hope ur ok now and it’s ok to look pretty. Yes there might some very disgusting ppl out there but it’s just the type of world we live in now but u shouldn’t change urself for some disgusting ppl and try to find and surround urself with ppl who understand u and respect u. I hope u and ur friend only meet nice ppl from now on

      @Iamanfd villainess Wow, thanks for all the nice wishes 🙂 Yeah, it’s almost the same in pretty much every country…
      However, I’m okay now. Found myself a sweet partner too who loves me with or without glasses, hair up or down, with or without body hair, with or without baggy clothes, with or without make-up, etc. 🙂
      My friend though… unfortunately she has died a couple of years ago. Her family said it was from an illness (they never got into detail about this), but I have my doubts. She was in therapy, but I know it didn’t really help her much -_-
