Rose says she’s 23 while Agnes is 25. Their backstories up to Agnes entering the palace are remarkably similar. I’m guessing “Agnes” changed her name at some point and Rose is missing those two years worth of memories.
I like this empress. She seems rather young – so it makes sense the emperor would fall into the arms of another woman.
I somehow dislike the emperor. He is suspicious,he did not even gave a slightest concern on Agnes’s whereabouts. And honestly I am also confused as to what happened to the real Agnes and if it’s not a regression plot manhwa,how did Rose woke up in the emperor’s arms – naked and made love to him.?.

Its just a hunch, but I think that rose and agnes are the same person … Agnes may have lost her memories or sth ..
