Yeah, the whole premise is dumb. Why would you treasure a powerless with the mark over the one that actually has powers? Like if anything it would be easier to fake the mark on the one with powers than going through all that nonsense trouble lol. that’s so dumb and makes absolutely no sense. if anything, wouldn’t the father be more disappointed in the other daughter for not having any power despite having the mark of the saint? (not that he should, but there’s just no logic to this).
