I have a theory. The 1st is the imperial family is afraid of the reputation he’ll get when he becomes normal, so they sent the fl as a scapegoat to blame for his death. Or he is a member of the royal family, which will explain the extravagant manor and the way he’s being treated overall. The king might support him causing the the empress or the crown prince faction or even both of them to want to get rid of him since the prince would have to give up the stolen credit. The king sent her to heal his son, but they want to take advantage of it to kill him and blame it on the fl
