We have a common trope in puppet plays for children: the hero or heroine are frolocking on stage while in the background 3 bandits, 2 crocodiles, a pirate and a shark are fighting each other who may mug and eat that hero first…. the audience screaming watch out!!! The hero is all: “what did you say? Watch out for this beautiful day? Hahaha, indeed!”

I admit, at first I thought this manhwa was thrilling. Beautiful art, different storyline, etc. Until chapter 17. It’s not dark romance. It’s just a crime story.

I was curious if he would really go as far as rape because I liked the FL etc. So I skipped through the novel. Turns out, yes. The novel is sick, boring, and stupid. He rapes her hundreds of times, tortures her, locks her up, enjoys blood, puts a gun and a lit candle inside her, etc.
Then makes her pregnant against her will. And in the end, they become a happy family. Such bullshit.
To all the young people: The author is probably a sick virgin who should check their mental state or just wants attention/money with this disturbing story. But read it if you enjoy hundreds of chapters of him forcefully entering her. The sickest thing is how the author tries to romanticize this crime story. Rape is a crime that destroys people emotionally and physically. Love would never bloom out of abuse like this.
It left me disgusted, and I wasted my time. Worst novel/manhwa/ML I’ve ever looked at.
It would have been enough to leave it at a tough interrogation and some prison time. Then I would maybe have liked this story.

I agree as a fellow psych graduate, this is r@pe and while no one and nothing is forcing you to read this, teens without any knowledge about relationships are the ones probably reading this and it’s perpetuating the cycle of violence and toxicity. It’s all just r@pe, crime and violence. The art is great, but the plot is lacking

As a psychology graduate, it is concerning for me to read a story that glorifies and justifies criminal acts, just because the perpetrators are good-looking. Criminals are criminals, no matter how good-looking they are. I hope there are no more people like those who call themselves the “book-talked” to accept a murderer like Wade Wilson

@Bellastar though I dont know where this story is going because I did not infact read the novel if its an actually fucked up story Im sorry for wasting your time I have dark manwha I hate as well an example being “cry, even better if you beg” man that ml pissed me off I read the novel giving him a chance but it sucked still maybe they will make him softer in the newer chapters but anyway when you love dark romance there are dark themes that makes the reader uncomfortable but thats why dark romance isnt for everyone

@Bellastar the point of these stories isnt really the romance its lust and desire, the R@pes and the $exual assault you look over it because in the story you know the main characters get a happy ending yes its fucked up and yes it can be intense and dark sometimes twisted but thats why I recommend reading the novels in the fl pov you learn that she has this unidentified pull towards the ml and that pull grows into something like ‘the moment someone touches her Ill end you and remind her why thats ok’ the mls are possessive and obsessive but at the end of the day wants the fl be happier then kings and queens and would kill them selfs to make sure they are safe its easy to get the wrong idea the author isnt romanticizing SA and r@pes shes writing about the fact a man who is an @ssho1e could love this girl so much to a point he’s willing to give up anything and everything for her but just not her

How is that romantic? I have read up to chapter 8, which is the last one so far, and this is what I have to say for those who are about to read this story.
If you’re expecting light toxicity and an ‘attractively bad’ ML, I have to warn you that you’re going to have a hard time swallowing certain aspects of this plot; considering that it touches on sensitive topics such as s3xual a3use, and the use of certain s3xual torture practices in between. There is quite a lot of foul language, and the story pretends to be sensual using traumatic themes that at the moment do not carry the weight they are expected to.
The manhwa is very dark and, obviously, intended for adults. Nothing is entirely consensual—sometimes it is not even that. Read with caution.
