I prefer Lucas too, since he was always devoted to the female lead, even from the very beginning, and he’s none of the way too typical stiff fighter-type dark-haired male leads either.
Plus: the female lead seemingly had mother-feelings for Ravi/Xavi(er)/Javi(er)/Harvey most of the times so far; which makes it hard to accept that these feelings would suddenly change into adult love.
The beastman/shifter/half also revealed to us readers in chapter 34 in his thoughts (while sneakily keeping this from the female lead) that he had actually lived in this body for a few decades or maybe longer (!), however he still acted like a child to get all touchy-touchy with the female lead and to get away with childish acts, that’s what made him rather unlikeable in my opinion…
I know the novel has Ravi set up as the ML, but I gotta be honest:
I prefer Lucas over the memory-sealed, love-starved “child”, be it during the first read or any re-read after Ô.o
And I cannot for the life of me remember Ravi being set up as the ML during the story o.Ô I mean, yeah, from HIS pov we knew, but that goes for other guys as well. But was there any chemistry besides friendship and the occasional “Well I´m a grown woman and my friend is both half-naked and hot, so yeah, I blush cause LOOK AT HIM! Doesn´t mean I wanna lay or marry him”? With Lucas on the other hand there´s lots of stuff, both flirting and deep trust-building.
