The story is quite interesting and complex but I do find it has weak points. The biggest one to me is the ML, I cannot, for the life of me, like him, no matter what he does to fix his past mistakes w the FL. To me, he always just comes across as pathetic and clingy. Leoni deserves a man w at least half the brain she has and that actually cares and puts in the effort.
Secondly, I feel like FL’s revenge plot against her father is lost, which is insane when it’s the most interesting arc and also the most developed. Where the fuck is all the resentment she’d been feeling since she was child? That scumbag raped her mother and robbed her of a life and dignity until her last breath, and would’ve repeated the same disgusting ass behavior towards FL too, had she not awakened her powers. It’s simply baffling that she’s cooperating w him without even thinking twice. I hope it doesn’t end w her forgiving him or something similar.
Finally, I feel like her son’s storyline is dragging on a little bit too much. Honestly, it was an interesting motivator for FL at first, but now it just seems like a way to excuse ML’s shitty behavior in the past by showing he cares about him and is taking care of him in the future. That’s literally the bare minimum, and yet it’s shown as if it’s this big act of life and devotion. Like, seriously?
Idk, I feel like it could’ve been done better so far, but we shall see how it ends.
