I don’t think either of them feels love for her. Not like that anyway. Rutger is likely showing feelings he had before but hid them due to his upbringing, stutter, meddlesome maid, etc. I think what Isaac is feeling is the feeling of what he was going to lose before be died. He knew in the old timeline he was going to die and let FL know he wanted her to be happy. That doesn’t mean he didn’t feel sad that he would have to leave her. By the time she was old enough in their marriage he had fallen for her. He’s getting echoes of the feeling of loss and yearning to leave it all and run away with her so she would be safe.
Neither of them actively feels love or lust for her at this age. Isaac is impartial and Rutger has a boyhood crush for now. But they’re both getting confused for the echos of feelings from the old timeline.
