To all Rutger defendants, you all realize that we’re only merely in the beginning chapters of the story. Stories are meant to tell the journey of how each character develops and mature.
Because of Leoni’s past with constant neglect and abuse, objectively speaking, Leoni had no time to “mature” despite y’all pointing out that she’s 30 years old. It’s common knowledge that age doesn’t mirror maturity.
And stop being so self-damn-righteous about it because of your own personal levels of morality and beliefs and keep the characters away from your own, expecting them to display the level of “maturity” you own.
From what I see, the author is doing a good job expanding Leoni’s world from the small sphere of her revenge and letting her learn different perspectives and levels of understanding.
Let the characters grow. She may be 30 years old but her emotional development has been stagnant from all her experiences that I dare say you won’t be able to even endure.

well, Leoni lost both her children tragically and is focused on Revenge. She’s all wrath and that is this story in a nutshell. She’s come back knowingly to play the part of a villain but she’s only become one to take out other villains.

This chapter proves the Leoni is a complete and utter psycho. Not only does she decide to get revenge on the maid Melanie for something the maid did not even do in this timeline… but she is seriously thinking that Melanie having been a bit rude to her in the other timeline is the same as having the maid executed with a blunt axe? And NONE of you even seem to take note of this? Instead you are upset that she doesn’t like Ruthger?

Nah, the reason we should “hate on” Leoni is because she is trash that will allow Magda’s innocent child to suffer just so that she can punish the current Magda… not for the stuff she is actually guilty of, but of things the current Magda never did.

Did you somehow miss that Leoni wants to get revenge on people for stuff that their current selves are not even guilty of doing? Did you also miss how she could have actually made things better and maybe even stopped her younger sister from being raised poorly by their father, but that she doesn’t give a crap about the girl because she blames her for something the child hasn’t even done?

What about him? Then he should have known that she was trying to talk to him and get close to him. He should have known that she was in love with him. He should have been hypersensitive about her emotions. If communication was his problem, there were many other ways that he could have shown his love to her. He could have fired that chambermaid or whatever publicly and shown her his intentions. No need to communicate with her, is there?
What did she go through? Seriously?
Yes he was abused to the level that he is stuttering. But she went through the same thing too. She was abused mentally for 32 years, one after another. His abuse stopped when he started expanding his power in the past. But not hers. She was abused till the end. She lost her child and didn’t know where he was. She was about to loose another child and was about to be killed. She may not have been physically hurt like him, but that doesn’t mean she went through less than him. Everybody feels and overcomes their trauma in different ways.
She didn’t harm him. She doesn’t want any revenge against him. I think that is enough of mercy she is showing him. He didn’t have any intention to ruin her like like the others did, but from her perspective he played a part in her misery too. Not wanting revenge against him is her way of showing love.

He even contracted speech problems! This is considered a severe case of child abuse and a major side-effect of that.
How about you? You did go through a lot but you didn’t suffer as much as him. You had quite the value and so were taken care of albeit not sincerely, so had the opportunity to learn anything and everything.
You were so wise and understanding. YET, you ultimately FAILED to understand Rutgar who you claim to be your true love.

The character isn’t acting sensibly.
The author did a really bad job.
In reality, such wise individuals who are capable of deep comprehension in every situation aren’t this much emotion-driven by nature and rarely make such blunders.

Why can’t they do their research before picking up a pen?!
To create a story with realistic humane characters in a daily, real-life setting you really need to understand the human nature a good deal first and foremost. Otherwise your character will be full of loop-wholes and blunders making your readers fatigues after a few chapters.
