Why does the current Ruthger need to do anything to redeem himself? He has not done anything. The current him is not the same one that married Lioni in the future!
Also, if you consider him having been awkward with her to be bad… then why aren’t you blaming her for not having been more forward with him in the future? She wasn’t a child and she loved him. When he told her that he would wait until she was ready, she should have just made it clear to him that she also liked him. Stop defending her and putting her on a pedestal just because she is the protagonist! She is NOT a good person.

Let me remind you that Leoni wants to take revenge on people for actions that they haven’t even done yet and might never even commit. She is holding people in this timeline responsible for things a possible future version did.

at this point, I understand Leoni’s amger towards rutger. he must redeem himself. like leoni mentioned, she fell in love with him at first sight. she must have felt the biggest heartbreak and betrayal with how distant rutger had treated her, and the lateness of his action coming back to save her. she loved him the most, thus she felt the biggest heartbreak from him the most.

What you claim to be the one and only rule of the ‘real world’ is called Egocentrism.
As everyone know, Egocentrism is very clear about its objectives.
And not at all well-liked among humans, specially those who have ‘values’.

Thats why they are mostly bullies, dictators or even your good old grumpy grouch neighbor who you can’t stand and would alway tip-toe around.

They can claim to not give a damn about other’s pain and suffering 24/7, but would scream their lungs out when they themselves fall into the pit of misery.
Those who justify their egocentrism, selfishness and self-centeredness with a thousand reasons at every chance possible while expecting people to bow down to their oh-so-great “wisdom!” are those who fall first when the real catastrophe strikes.
The weakest, to be more precise.

Continue to care only for yourself, but you are the only one to blame when the ‘time’ takes its toll on your body and mind.
Our youth and power aren’t everlasting. If you don’t care for anyone but your own selfish self, you will have it coming your way when you are the most desperate.
