I really really dislike Leoni and how stories like this one is written. There are always these convenient replacement good guys that will kiss the butt of the main character. meanwhile instead of actually allowing for repentance, the story just continues to set up the designated antagonists as such, never actually doing anything interesting.
How are we supposed to cheer for Leoni when even the story is saying that she should not hold herself responsible because she is a child… even though we know full well that she is NOT a child right now. Yet at the same time she is willing to make Magda’s child suffer just to get her revenge on the woman… and she thinks badly of her sister and isn’t doing anything to try to stop her from becoming bad even though Sherin is only seven.
It is also ironic how Cala mentions how she was surprised somebody from family of Leoni’s father was actually likable… yet she isn’t aware that Leoni is even worse than her father in many aspects.

Either may be a regression as well. Last chapter, while rustling in the shrubbery, he knew she was Leoni. She was killed before he returned from battle. Her father wanted him to marry Sherin.
