I think it was a good answer for the duke and for the FL to learn. I did not expect this reaction but it is reasonnable that he doesn’t tell her about his trauma right away. Even when she insisted, he could have keep it for himself. So I’m kinda glad that we have a normal interaction for once in a webtoon, and not everything that seems like a perfect score everytime the characters do something

but like he also like kidnapped her, gave her “captive torture” (even if the conditions are really good, and shes happy HE thinks he is torturing her and that shows malice intent), dismisses her own abuse as well as trauma as never happening (this i actually hate about this story hopefully they address it because having someone say you never been abused is one of the worst feelings).
well its not like hes the worst he also has done actual crimes against her that if this wasnt such a light-hearted story would have lead to so much traumatic issues to a person that would affect them for the rest of their lives.
FL was absolutely wrong in here, you don’t enter someone else’s room and much less change anything in it.
ML overreacted a bit yes, but it’s a legit trauma response, plus I’d also be pissed af if someone entered my room without permission and changed stuff there. And worse, she’s his CAPTIVE, that he has been kind enough to offer comfort and power.

Darn guys(commenters) there are very few people already in modern days who dont care so much about entering there room an going out immediately, and the fl did that because she thought she had a bit of trust~ even you guys wanting to give a surprise to a friend(and you mede them some ‘good’ favors too) you woud do something similar 😒
Even I hate someone entering my reom without permission and it was his own bedroom and at that he’s the duke you can’t just enter into the room of someone who kidnapped you
Honestly fl was wrong here bcz she is just the CAPTIVE PRINCESS afterall having good intentions dosen’t mean you can simply impose your feelings on others without knowing the person infront of you
I feel like FL was being waaaaaaay too nose in this chapter. Sure, you had “good intentions”, but good intentions dont give you permission to just enter someone’s PRIVATE room and make drastic changes. Especially when that certain someone is still her captor. He has been kind to her but even I agree that ML had full right to be mad at FL for entering his room like that. That’s too much power a stranger, especially a CAPTIVE, should receive in someone else’s home.
Let’s also not forget that FL is from Asia, and culture-wise, you don’t just enter a stranger’s bedroom and make changes according to your own whims. If something like this had happened to me, I would have genuinely been creeped out.

Why are you all hating the ml so much? It was a genuine trauma response? Everyone has times when they actually like jerks doesn’t that make him more real? What’s the point of a character who is always ood to the fl this is a part of story development! He has trauma and its natural to react that way it was kinda of over stepping in the part of fl as well she could have atleast asked him if she can do it or maybe gave him the gift by some other means instead of just putting it up in his room!

I…hate this trope too…but it DIDN’T come out of nowhere. This is a legit trauma response. And she doesn’t know him, not really, this us a lesson to us to, even with good intentions and giving hearts, overstep clear boundaries.
