   Listening to that female duchess was the worst decision he has make in this entire story. Listening to the one that didnt actually know jack shit and constantly giving bad advices. That female duchess are the real villain in this story for me. Even the father and the magician can be side step but fml cant anything about people that close to the emperor being a moron.

   I love this series, but the Male lead is cruel. I just finished reading this series so far, and honestly I kind of ship Rue with Ashel more than I do Karl… but that might change.. I originally read 70 chapters on Webtoon, so the translation was better, but this is fine. I really hope nothing happened to her mother 75 chapters in 😭

   This may sound stupid but why doesn’t the FL write on a piece of paper that she is cursed?
   She can’t talk about her past because of the curse, but she can communicate otherwise, can’t she?
   Also, yes, I know there are prying eyes watching her, but wouldn’t she be able to “talk” to the king on nights when they are alone and together? (it feels like a big plot hole for me)
   Teaming with the king it would be better than doing nothing. She has no power, so cooperating with her husband, it would give her a chance to save her mother, even tho there is no trust between them… but anyway, that’s not really my main concern.

   ML DOESN’T DESERVE FORGIVENESS! Honestly, I wish FL would just divorce him at the end. I know it won’t happen because I read the spoiler and *sigh* I’m disappointed.
   i would like to talk about their relationship a lot more…they is no chemistry between them for me. ML is just obsessed with a girl that saved him in the past. If FL wasn’t that girl, would he even care for what he did to his wife??? Idk anymore…

    I’ll save you the agony and time: He’s a huge trash can who hates her for no reason other than he hates her dad. The FL isn’t able to ever express herself or how she feels. She is so weak it’s infuriating. He humiliated her, abused her, and made her life hell. Then because the ML couldn’t show her love her father also beats her, cursed her, and causes her stress. She is pathetic in fact that she forgives him and loves him. It’s disgusting. The first 100 chapters are basically all the abuse she endures. Then 1 or 3 chapters of him wanting to die like the coward he is. Then forgiveness and happily ever after because the FL is stupid. It’s ALMOST as bad as abandoned empress. Almost.

       Actually, there’s a lot more going on, first of, some things might not be the same since webtoon is adapting it tho I’m not sure, and firstly, he hates the duke’s family because the duke killed his family, of course no one should be blamed for their parents mistakes but in every manhwa when there’s a big villain family, it usually ends up like this, anyway, the prince also has suffered a lot but it’s been glossed over a lot, either way, fl is not powerful, honestly, she has a lot of potential, but I don’t see it happening any time soon since she doesn’t have magic or none that I can see of, for people who like action in no way is this for you, but for people who like tragedy, have a lot of anger management and can deal with feeling sympathy to most of the characters it should be okay, but honestly, not sure if ml is really abusing fl since he didn’t know anything about her and just hated her but I don’t know, they haven’t gone into depth about it yet . . .

    Okay so I see this is missing a tag so SPOILER WARNING FROM THE NOVELS:

    This story is pain. Not just for a couple of chapters but all the way to the near end. I actually gave up reading this because I couldn’t see any sort of enjoyable resolution for the two main characters coming. The ML is a hate sink and the FL is basically a punching bag the entire story. And yes I say ML and FL because those two SOMEHOW are the endgame, Unless they decided to change it for the manhwa I wouldn’t put myself through this. Unless this is your sort of thing, then by all means, good luck.

    I wish there was a link to the raws. There’s already 150 + chapters and I’d like to translate it myself. No offense but in one year there’s only 38 updates. Not sure if this is because there’s no access to the raws unless you pay but I’m getting impatient.

    Just wanted to let y’all know: the Male lead in this is abhorrent.

    He does nothing but hurt Yvonne for most of the first 31 chapters (the latter few slightly shifting to him wanting to USE her instead of just outright hating her) and has garnered no sympathy from the audience whatsoever.

    It would be accurate to say that he is more hated by the readers than the actual POS antagonist, the Duke.

    At least we know to hate the Duke because he’s a villain.

    Emperor Cal has no excuse.

    I don’t recommend reading this series unless you’re prepared to be frustrated and disappointed in the ML for at least the first 31 chapters (could be more, since I’m writing this with only 31 chapters released). You can’t help but feel sorry for the FML, Yvonne, and her plight is good enough to make me stay just to see the happy ending she deserves.

    But the romance? You’re better off reading something else.

    Unless you’re into this, in which case, go right ahead.
