So once a dragon couple have an egg, the dad takes care of it for 100 years (while being a complete hermit) and after the 100 years are up and the egg hatches, the mum will look after the hatchling for the next 1000 years. If you’re a dragon and not good at this and you ALSO happen to be too brutish (as in destructive or easily angered), then you can say bye bye to having a dragon girlfriend.
Solitas here is a relatively young dragon (barely older than 1000) who is immature, arrogant, and is feeling very lonely. Basically the poor dude just wants a girlfriend. He has a crush on Kkotbun, the younger sister of Verkis, the Dragon King from I Became the Dragon King’s Chef (you probably know him as the lazy sleepyhead from this manhwa) but unfortunately it’s unrequited. He blames Verkis’ Dragon Commandments for his bad luck with love since these commandments actively forbid dragons from breaking a contract with a human, terrorizing other races without a valid reason and basically spell out that being an angry, rampaging dragon is a bad trait in a husband.
