Trauma doesn’t disappear like bffr, when I was younger my mom used to hit me a lot but now that I’m a teenager she doesn’t anymore and says she regrets doing it but still when she’s angry and gets near me I flinch hard thinking she’s going to hit me even if someone’s hand goes near my face I still flinch even when it’s my younger siblings so don’t speak about trauma so easily and how it should be like when you haven’t experienced it
Y’all trauma doesn’t go away like magic it can take years for them to get better I know someone who had trauma it was very hard for them… so just give her some time. Also I think the author wants to show how much she will grow in the future

Trauma literally changes chemicals in your brain. Y’all are so used to trauma being used as just as a sad backstory brought and don’t realize that it literally alters a character.
