Her dad is one of the pitiful person in this story… He was bullied by his own family, he knows his wife love duke but she don’t wanna destroy someone married life so she choose fl dad.. he knows he’s the second choice.. After that he lost his wife… And he doesn’t have great title in the empire.. And her daughter keep pressuring her to take down his pride… And even get moking words frm the prince after all he’s done so many good thing to him cuz of his daughter… Poor dad…
exactly, but also as Luci mentioned, she’d never asked anything of him until it came down to the biggest request – to marry the crown prince – and she likely doesn’t know how man y sacrifices her father has made for her since he doesn’t make it obvious by showing direct affection towards her, even avoiding eye contact. So, to her it probably seems like a fair request given how little she’s required of her father. That being said her father is truly pitiful and I feel so bad for him, his entire life he struggled
