The duke really needs to educate his servants if they think abandoning two guests for an outside maid to serve is okay
They changed this from the novel. In the novel her leg was still somewhat injured, causing her to have a limp when she walked. They took the princesses carriage to the main residence, since it was so far away and the princess offered. When they were getting down, even though the Dukes maids stepped forward to help. The Princesses maid was the one to insistently offer. She then tripped the MC and caused her to fall. Then “accidentally” knocked over the tea tray ontop of her.
