I believe in soul. So even if you revive and heal the body it doesn’t guarantee that the soul will still be there. Don’t get me wrong. Ofcourse I’ll be thrilled if the FL’s mother will be revived but i don’t think she will be able to using soccer sh*t like killing someone else.
@MiscMech No, this is better. What you are talking about it is the idea of “we can fix her/him”. It is a pretty ridiculous powerfantasy a lot of people have where they imagine they can make the “badboy/girl” good (but still badass) with their “love”. So yeah, big no thank you to that kind of story.
I think the Duke being manipulated into going down that path is much less interesting than him going down it by himself. Because now the focus isn’t on helping him be better but rather putting a stop to the “real” villain behind the curtains.
