The reason why the empress believes she was the one who put Cyan/Sian in the dad’s house is because she knows that the children that the dad finds if they are injured then he would help them.
The reason protag was questioning to whether help her dad or not is because she never lived a life where she has to help someone.
In all the previous lives because the daughter never intervened for her dad she never existed and she couldn’t even meet him because of the whole extra thing.

the reason why empress is sending someone else rather than someone she has hired is because 1.The dad defeated the kingdom so they have more hate towards him and

it seems that empress was regresses first and then send her son to the same house where protag and mom lived that means she could have just saved the mom but she is probably blinded by her hate towards dad to even care.
