Honestly, hate that she will likely forgive them and will suddenly be close to them. They are only treating her right now because she has knowledge of the future and is using it. The way she was beforehand was very much because of their treatment, she isn’t just isekaied suddenly in the body of the character, she has all the memories and experiences being neglected and bullied to the point the family doctor refused to help her even. They do not deserve any forgiveness at all and so far there are no real excuses for their behavior.

At this point I’m beginning to wonder if the Duke (and possibly the Duchess too) was(/were) friends with her biological parents and took her in cause something happened to the other Duke’s family((whatever that incident was that sent her bio dad into a coma and ?sent her mom to afterlife. Maybe some voodoo related to the dark goddess that affects the soul? And that too might be a reason why they raised her separately… I remember the Duke saying something along the lines of “if it’s the you now, you can do it” or something. So he defo knows she’s different/returned.)). Maybe that’s why they raised her in an isolated building as an illegitimate child and didn’t clarify much about her to the sons and also explain why they didn’t make an effort to get to know her earlier but treats her cordially if she goes to them instead(the Duke infact seems far less strict with her than with Carl….then again it might be cause that kid is a bit slow 😅), and maybe something happened later on to her biological dad’s duchy in original timeline that needed them to abandon her to save their a$$es…. This is just my theory but my intuition is telling me that the Duke already knew she’s not his and his lack of surprise at her change and that sentence makes me believe he was expecting her change too🤔

To be fair to Elodie, her assumptions are based on their behaviour, more so than the book, she’s grown up neglected by most of it, and Karl was very aggressive about disliking and bulling her, he may not have actually wanted his sister to die, but he certainly acted like he did, and routinely called her a “thing”, so it’s completely understandable for her to believe he hates her. Yancy and Sylvester weren’t treating her particularly aggressively, but they were ignoring her, and considering that she is still the child, it’s on them to make the effort.

@Shivbhatt how is it unexpected?Alil bickering in siblings is very normal!Plus he was a kid when he said all that most of the people don’t even remember what mistakes they have committed as a child .Even you enemy might feel compassion if u were to die suddenly 🙂 pretty sure he was just scared to see her helping him nd dying bcoz of him
