This is creepily like the folktale of Bluebeard. He marries ladies one at a time and lavishes all sorts of finery upon them in exchange for never entering this one room. Well when the wives enter the room they find the previous ones hanging from the walls, bloody and dead. Much like the creepy bird ladies in the last few panels…. I think I smell some parallels. Let’s hope this turns out a little more nicely?
