I think this is the only reason that tia still loves her mother because she takes pity on her and knows about her mothers feelings.
It’s not that Tia’s mom hate her. It’s just that she is putting All her eggs into one basket (the son). If Tia’s mom truly hated her, tia would not have said she still loves her mom. Don’t forget that Tia’s mom was somewhat sold for a mine. So Tia’s mom was like I’ll take everything from her family ( proceeds to kill everyone heir and siblings in the family for tia to be the only heir do she can support the prince). She mostly did it for the future but who could have taught the prince was a douchebag. So I pray she later reconcile with her mom ( especially since this is her second life. She can help her mom fix her mistakes).
For a second there, I almost felt as if prince really was trusting and caring about his sister. He’s deceiving. Also, I like it when the “villain” characters also have their own mindsets, a trail of thoughts and stuff, no matter how shallow, it’s still better than just being there as that one abusive mother everyone is gonna forget about after a few chapters. It’s good that’s not the case here. The mother has been abusing her daughter for her whole life and getting rid of her is not as simple as getting married
She might actually be worse of a person, she shows so much favortism towards her son who can give her a better life and hates her daughter. While her episodes might bring her back down till she is nicer she still consciously thinks of her daughter as ugly and stupid despite no one around to hear so it’s likely how she truly feels.
