I think Jim is supposed to be a polite term of address for royalty, more like “zim” in this case, so the emperor is referring to himself in the honorable third person here.
Because of the plot and being against of Cedric the Emperor us portrait as a bad character. But if we judge by his actions for his throne and family he’s a rational character to me
It’s always nice to know more about such characters. His decisions were really terrible against Cedric’s family but in his mind, he was strengthening his position and securing a place for his family. It’s backfiring terribly now…
