Lawrence abused Lysia because he was a pos with an inferiority/superiority complex. He hated that she was popular with the people, that his legitimacy came from her. I think it was stated in the earlier chapters that Laurence/Lawrence hated Lysia because she was beloved by the people, right? I don’t give two shits about him. I want to know how Lysia feels about it.
Maybe that’s why Lawrence hated Lysia before coz when Lysia was the Saint she kept healing people knowing that it will kill her. She killed herself and not coz she was married to Lawrence.
