Girl, I’d be on my KNEES offering what little life I have to him. He could literally do ANYTHING to you and not give a damn. Though I will say this: Love & Hate are to sides of an extreme coin. If he truly hates her as much as the author is indicating, then he could truly love her with that same fire.

@Heypakas: true! It been like what, a day?! That sounded so flimsy and insincere that I’d have hated her more. And this whole “I’ll treat him so well that he’ll suddenly change his feelings for me and everything becomes daijoubu” nonsense only works cause the genre is shoujo..it won’t even fly for josei. A far believable scenario will be making subtle changes to her behaviour while keeping him by her side until it becomes obvious to him that she’s changed through actions… And then apologize for the original owner’s actions… But yeah that’s far harder to write i guess🤷🏻
The apology feels so insincere. Hey yo, I’m sorry but I lost my memories so can you please forget what I said to you? And taking a person that your past soul tortured and suddenly treating then lavishly is not going to make them happy. If I was the ML, I would be extremely uncomfortable, angry and would be extremely burdened if my abuser suddenly apologized to me. what would make this a better apology is if she told him he didn’t have to forgive her. I think she is expecting forgiveness, and that ruins it for me.
as if torturing someone could be forgiven with a mere sky-watching date and a disingenuous apology. mc is not the person who abused him, but certainly she’s got enough sense in her to realise this cannot possibly happen… that forgiveness is out of the question. the author must have at least that little sense in them right… or perhaps not, and he will end up a loyal doggy male lead, but it will be all right, because mc is… some saint deserving of it, apparently. i wonder why this sort of ludicrous scenario is so popular in manhwas. i don’t believe this falls inside the ” romance fantasy ” category, more like ” psychological horror “….
