I feel like there is something going on in regards to the previous memory of the mother telling the duke that the magicians can’t visit the place as they will catch a trail, likely she has some creature or forbidden magic in her that magicians can be killed by???
Tbh I feel there’s a misunderstanding, like our earliest memories can be a bit short and blurred, so perhaps what the mom was saying wasn’t that she’ll kill her child but rather is something continues, her child could die and it be all her fault. But still all we can do is speculate for the time being so..
The Jeremiah stuff feels like a the mom was r@ped he was the product and she blames the child in a post-partum/depression sense but the Duke is prepared to love any child of his wife’s regardless of circumstance but the situation makes the kiddo doubt his place and position within his own family. Like we’ve been getting bits and pieces more of what she said on that evening but not necessarily all of it. The having another child later and being able to express love with that child would be further fuel to the fire because it wasn’t just love for those before he happened but also after.
I feel really bad for this baby. Many ppl r saying he’s spoiled and all but look at his condition… He was h@ted by his own mother, she never spend time with him and she tried to K!LL him 🙁
