Maybe it’s third life wisdom, but I wouldn’t be able to want to save him or even give him a chance like that. Maybe being used in various schemes, but abandoning her to an abusive husband and letting her die at his hands? I definitely would’ve cut him off from the get go, no redemption or understanding. Maybe he deserves some, but just cause someone has a tragic backstory, it doesn’t make their crimes forgivable.

yea but her affection and desire for him to be on the throne is just a ploy to get away. This is her 3rd life technically and even dying young she would be about 50+ mentally she just wants to live alone and die peacefully and defying the psycho brother will literally just get her sold to a different psycho that will beat her to death.
