the priority and desire to give the original body owner back their body is honestly so fucking refreshing
dont get me wrong, i love the whole possession genre, but not a lot of them honestly contend with the concept of possession being an innately horrifying and tragic thing for the original body owner. im oki with it being addressed by body swapping, merged souls/same soul, blah blah blah, but having it addressed via a simple “yep. giving this person their body back” is so refreshing (like theres a lot of “i wanna go back to my body~” but not a lot of “i wanna give this body back”)
